Dhanush Gowda Nursery

Dhanush Gowda Nursery is located at number 14 in Kundana Village. Being out in the Devanahalli area of Bangalore Rural means we have a fair amount of space to work with. It's much quieter out here than it is in the city. We have different sections for the plants we’re currently growing. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the watering and making sure the soil is right for each type. You won't find any slick marketing or polished displays here. It’s just rows of plants and the smell of wet earth. We start our mornings early before it gets too hot. Most of the time is spent tending to the rows or moving pots around. We have a simple gate and a small area where we talk to anyone who drops by. Since we are in the village, we know our neighbors and they know what we do. It’s a simple life focused on the ground and what grows out of it. We don't use computers much, mostly just keeping track of things in a notebook. The weather dictates how our day goes. If it's raining, we're doing one thing, and if it's dry, we're doing another. It's a basic operation but it keeps us on our feet and working outside every day. We just keep planting and waiting for things to take root as the seasons change.
