Design Studio Architects & Engineers

We’re over in Jayanagar 3rd Block. The address is 202/A on 27th Cross. It’s a busy part of town but we like it here. There's both architects and engineers in this room, so there’s usually a lot of arguing about where a beam should go or if a wall is too thin. We use a lot of blue ink. The desks are covered in rolls of paper and rulers. Sometimes the printers jam when we're in a hurry. It's just part of the day. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while. It’s not a very big space but we make it work. We have some plants in the corner that mostly look okay. We drink a lot of tea while looking at structural drawings. The 7th main road is always noisy outside, but inside we’re usually focused on the math and the drawings. It's not glamorous. We spend time on site visits too, checking if the concrete is right or if the windows are straight. People drop in to ask about building permits. We try to help with the paperwork. It’s a lot of back and forth with the city offices. We just keep our heads down and get the drawings finished. That's the daily routine here in Jayanagar. We don't have any awards on the wall, just a lot of calendars and project lists. We’re just trying to get the buildings built right.
