Decofix Papers & Tapes

Our operation is based in the KSSIDC Industrial Estate in Yelahanka at unit B-28. It’s a standard industrial shed where we keep all our paper rolls and tape stocks. The space is mostly filled with big shelves and cutting machines. It smells like glue and paper in here which I guess we don't even notice anymore. We spend our mornings cutting tapes to the right sizes and packing them into boxes. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet all day. Yelahanka is a good spot for us because it’s easy for the delivery vans to get in and out. We don't really do any marketing or anything like that. Most people just find us because they need supplies for their own packaging. We have a small table in the corner where we take orders and drink our coffee. The light in the shed isn't the best but we have some extra lamps over the cutting tables. Sometimes the rolls of tape are heavy and we have to help each other move them. It’s a very simple business model without any complications. We just make sure we have enough stock on hand for the regular customers. The rain can be a problem if it leaks through the roof so we keep the paper covered with plastic sheets just in case. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out.
