Our headquarters for Deccan Mining Syndicate Private Limited is on Kempegowda Road. We are situated on the first floor of Geetha Mansion, at number 40. It’s a classic building in a very busy part of the city. The traffic outside is pretty much constant, and you can hear the buses honking all day long. Inside the office, things are a bit quieter, but not by much. We have lots of files and old maps spread out on the tables. Mining is a slow business when it comes to the paperwork, so we spend a lot of time dealing with permits and reports. We aren't out at the mines every day; this is where the logistics happen. There’s a lot of back and forth with the site managers and the government offices. The office has that old-school feel with heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we like the central location despite the noise. Most of the people who work here have been with the company for years. We drink a lot of coffee and spend our time making sure the numbers add up. It’s not a flashy job, and we don’t try to make it look like one. We just handle the mining business from our spot in Geetha Mansion and try to stay on top of the schedule.
