Datum Arkitekteur

We are Datum Arkitekteur and we work out of Xavier Layout. Our office is in Sanjay Park Society at number 32. It’s a nice little corner of the world. We’ve got some trees nearby and it’s usually quiet enough to get some drawing done. The office itself is just a few rooms filled with desks and large printers that sometimes jam. We spend a lot of our time looking at plans and drinking tea. There are three of us here most days. We don't have a formal dress code, so you’ll usually find us in jeans and old shirts. We started this because we liked building things and wanted to stay in the Xavier Layout area. Sanjay Park Society is a friendly place. We know the security guards and the people in the next building. Our space at number 32 is a bit messy with rolls of paper and half-finished models sitting on every surface. We don't really go for that polished, corporate look. We think it’s better to just be ourselves and focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes clients come in and we just sit around the kitchen table to talk. It’s more comfortable that way. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just find us through word of mouth. It’s a slow and steady way to work, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just do what we can every day to keep things moving.
