Crystal Stone Salon

If you know the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore, you know how loud and busy it gets. Crystal Stone Salon is right at number 180 in Dodda Banaswadi, sitting right in the middle of all that noise. Inside, though, we try to keep things a bit more normal. We aren't one of those high-end salons with white marble floors. We have regular chairs, some slightly worn-out mirrors, and the smell of shampoo is always in the air. We do hair cuts, basic styling, and all the usual stuff people need. Most of our customers are folks who live in the apartments nearby or stop by after work to beat the traffic. We usually have the TV on in the corner, showing the news or some cricket match, which helps pass the time when it’s slow. The floor is almost never completely clean of hair because as soon as we sweep, someone else walks in. Our staff is just a few local guys and girls who have been working together for a couple of years. We know most of our regulars by name and how they like their hair done without them even having to say it. It’s a small business and sometimes the sink leaks a little, but we fix it and keep going. We don’t offer fancy drinks, just a glass of water if you’re thirsty. It’s just a neighborhood spot where you can get a decent cut.
