Cry Child Rights & You

Our office for Cry Child Rights & You is in Cox Town, tucked inside Madhavi Mansion on Bachammal Road. The building is No 12/3-1, and the most famous landmark near us is the Indian Gymkhana, which is right across the way. You can often hear the sounds of sports and people shouting from the gymkhana grounds, which adds some energy to the street. Cox Town is an older part of Bangalore with a lot of character and narrow streets. Our space in Madhavi Mansion is where we do all the behind-the-scenes work for child rights. It’s mostly desks, stacks of papers, and posters on the walls. We have people coming in and out all day, some are volunteers and others are full-time staff members. It can get a bit crowded when we have meetings, but we make it work. It’s not a sleek, modern office tower; it’s a lived-in space that feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We’ve been here for quite a while, and most of the local shopkeepers know who we are. There’s no fancy lobby or anything, just a regular entrance and some stairs to get to the units. We just get on with the work of coordinating programs and talking to people about what kids need. If you’re visiting, parking can be tricky on Bachammal Road, so you might have to look around for a spot near the gymkhana or the side lanes.
