Crossword Bookstores Ltd

We are located on the ground floor of a building in Defence Colony, right on the famous 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar. If you find the California Pizza Kitchen, you just have to look across the street to find us. It’s a busy area, as most people in Bangalore know. Inside, it’s a bit of a different world. We have rows and rows of shelves that we are constantly reorganizing. Books come in, books go out. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and trying to remember where we put that one specific title a customer asked for. The staff here mostly just likes reading, so we end up chatting about books a lot during breaks. The shop gets quite crowded on weekends, but during the week, it’s a bit more relaxed. We deal with all sorts of people, from kids looking for comics to older folks searching for something specific. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up or we run out of space on the shelves, but we make it work. It’s not a fancy life, just a lot of paper and ink. We like being in Indiranagar because there is always something happening outside. It’s a good spot for a bookstore. We try to keep things simple and just make sure the books are easy to find.
