Corner House

Corner House is over in Jayanagar 9th Block at number 1225. It’s a neighborhood place through and through. Jayanagar is a big area, but this corner of the 9th block has its own little community that we are glad to be part of. We’ve been here for a while, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for the locals over the years. It’s not a very big space inside. We have a counter where people order and a few benches where they can sit while they eat their treats. It gets very crowded in the evenings, especially when the weather is nice outside. We often have people standing out on the sidewalk because there’s no room left inside the shop. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spoons and cups. It’s a never-ending job that keeps us busy until late. The staff is pretty quick, but when there’s a line out the door, we just have to tell people to be patient for a few minutes. We don’t have any fancy signs or advertisements. People just know where we are located. We get our supplies delivered a few times a week, and it’s always a bit of a puzzle trying to fit everything into our small storage area in the back. The walls have some scuffs from where people lean against them, but it gives the place some character. We’re just a local spot. We’ve been at 1225 for years and we’ve seen a lot of kids grow up.
