Corner House

We are located at number 4 on Madras Bank Road, right near Jawahar Chowk. This place has been part of the street for a long time. It’s a simple ice cream spot where people come to take a break from the heat. We don't have any big mission statements or fancy marketing. It’s just a counter, some freezers, and a few tables that have seen better days. The staff here is mostly young people who live nearby. We spend our shifts scooping ice cream and wiping down the counters. It gets really busy in the evenings after people finish their work in the offices nearby. You’ll often see people standing on the sidewalk eating their sundaes because we’ve run out of chairs inside. Madras Bank Road is always noisy with cars and buses, but once you’re inside, it feels a bit more relaxed. We don't try to make things look perfect. If a table wobbles, we just put a bit of cardboard under the leg. We use simple ingredients and just keep the menu to what we know. It’s an honest way to run a shop. Most of the people who come in are regulars who have been visiting since they were kids. It’s nice to be part of their routine. We just keep the lights on and the freezers cold, day in and day out. If you’re around Jawahar Chowk, you can’t really miss us. We’ve been here long enough that even the local street dogs know when we open up. It's just home for us.
