Colordec

Our place, Colordec, is located on the 80 Feet Road in the Subbanapalaya Extension, right in HAL 3rd Stage. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always the sound of bikes and cars passing by outside 7th Main. The shop isn’t huge, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it. We have different sections for various finishes, and there are always stacks of brochures lying around that have seen better days. We don’t go for a corporate look here. The walls have bits of tape and old posters on them, and the floor is a bit scuffed from people dragging heavy samples across it. We spend most of our time talking to people about their homes or offices, trying to figure out which textures might look okay on a wall. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, looking at different swatches and trying to imagine how they’ll look in a real room. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when a few people come in at once, but we manage to work around each other. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, moving stock from the delivery trucks into the back storage. It’s a regular neighborhood shop where the staff knows the regulars by name. We just focus on the daily tasks, keeping the shelves organized and making sure we don't run out of the popular shades. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we get the job done.
