Collage Architecture Studio

Our studio is tucked away at 111 'Aayush' in Anjappa Layout, right near the East of Ngef Layout in Kasturi Nagar. It’s a bit of a mouthful to explain the address to people over the phone, but once you’re here, it’s a nice enough spot. Collage Architecture Studio is basically just a group of us working out of this space. We have desks cluttered with pens, scale rulers, and half-empty coffee mugs. The light comes in nicely through the windows in the afternoon, which helps when we’re looking at material samples. We’ve been in Kasturi Nagar for a while and have seen the main road get busier every year. Most of our day is spent either at the computer or standing around the big central table talking about projects. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that; whoever is closest to the door usually just gets up to see who it is. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do get stressed when a deadline is approaching. We’ve had to reorganize the shelves a few times because we keep running out of room for all the site files. It’s a working studio through and through. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the drawings are clear and the dimensions actually work on site. It’s not always pretty, but it’s our space and we like it.
