Cloudnine Maternity Hospital

Up here at 17th Cross and 11th Main in Malleswaram, things stay pretty busy all day long. We are right near MES College, so there are always students walking past while families are coming in and out of our doors. Cloudnine Maternity Hospital has been a part of this Bangalore neighborhood for a good while. Inside, you can hear the sound of the machines and the nurses talking in the hallways. It’s a place where things happen around the clock, so there’s no real quiet time. We see a lot of tired dads in the waiting area and grandparents holding flowers. It’s just how a hospital feels. The floors are always being cleaned and there is that specific smell of disinfectant everywhere. People come to us from all over the city, navigating the narrow streets of Malleswaram to get here. Parking can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We have a lot of rooms and different floors, and someone is always running to catch an elevator. It’s not like an office job where you sit still. Everyone here is on their feet, checking charts or talking to patients. It’s a lot of responsibility, and we just try to get through the shifts and make sure everything is handled right for the families. There’s always coffee in the breakroom and someone coming in or going home at odd hours.
