Mahalakshmi Electricals

Mahalakshmi Electricals has a few spots, but you can find us at Sukhi Plaza on BVK Iyengar Road in Chickpet, and also over on Chhabildas Road in Dadar West, which is right near the railway station. Both places are always busy. Chickpet is a maze of shops and we fit right in there. In Dadar, the sound of the trains is something you hear all day long. Our shops are packed with boxes from floor to ceiling. There isn't much room to move around, but we know where everything is kept. It’s just a local business run by a small group of us. We don't have a corporate office or a human resources department. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out. Most of our time is spent helping people who walk in looking for specific parts. We don't do much online; we prefer talking to people face to face. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, but we have a few fans going. We’ve been around these neighborhoods for years. We know the other shopkeepers and the tea sellers. It’s a simple life of buying and selling electrical goods. We don't use big words or try to act like we're a huge company. We are just Mahalakshmi Electricals, and we’re here every day except for holidays. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. Usually, we just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to come by with a question about their wiring.
