Chemetec Fluid Sealing System

We are located out in Ambattur, at the Tass Industrial Estate. Our unit is number 142. If you’ve ever been to Ambattur, you know it’s full of small and medium workshops making all sorts of things. We focus on fluid sealing systems, which basically means we deal with seals and gaskets that stop leaks in machines. It’s an industrial environment, so it’s often hot and there’s always the smell of oil or rubber in the air. The floor is concrete and we have heavy shelves loaded with different types of sealing materials. We’ve been operating from this estate for a while. Usually, a mechanic or a factory manager comes in because they have a pump or a pipe that’s leaking and they need a specific seal right away. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. You just walk into the workshop and talk to whoever isn't busy with a machine. We cut some of the gaskets ourselves and buy others from suppliers we trust. It’s straightforward work. The power goes out sometimes, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s not a glamorous business, but every factory needs what we have. We keep our tools clean and our stock organized as much as we can in a place like this. It’s just us, working in the heat of the industrial estate every day.
