Chemendra Upadhyay's place is right by the New Thok Sabji Mandi in Madhopura. If you know Morena, you know how busy it gets around the Nala No. 1 area. Santosh Kumar Sharma lives here too. Mostly, it is just us working through the day. The market starts early, so there is always noise from trucks and people selling vegetables. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is here. We have a small setup. It is nothing fancy, just some desks and some paperwork. People walk in and out all day. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon. We just sit outside until it comes back. It is a bit crowded because of the Mandi. You have to watch where you park your bike. The shop is easy to find if you are coming from the main road. We have been here for a while now. Most people around know where Santosh Kumar Sharma stays. Chemendra is usually around, unless he has gone out for some work in the city. We don’t have a big sign or anything. It’s just a normal place where we do our business every day. Sometimes it feels like the whole town is right here at the Nala. It’s loud, it’s a bit messy, but we like being where the action is. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s a simple life in Morena.
