Channel Freight Services India Pvt Ltd is the name on the official documents, but to us, it’s just the place where we come to work every morning. Bangalore is famous for its traffic, and we definitely feel that when we are trying to coordinate freight movements. Our office is a modest setup in a regular building, nothing like the big IT parks you see on the other side of town. We spend our hours looking at shipping routes and talking to people at the ports and airports. It’s a lot of logistics work that involves many spreadsheets and phone calls. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to make sure the cargo gets from point A to point B without too much trouble. The staff here are a mix of young and old who all understand how the freight business works in India. We have our tea together and talk about the challenges of the day. It’s honest, everyday work. Sometimes there are delays or paperwork issues, but we just sit down and sort them out one by one. Being in Karnataka gives us a good base to reach out to the rest of the country. We keep our heads down and work.
