Chandan Radio Centre

Chandan Radio Centre is located at 128 Sadar Patrappa Road, right near the Town Hall and Db Desai Road. If you know the Jb Nagar area, you know how busy this street gets. Our shop has been here for a very long time. We started out mostly with old-fashioned radios and transistors, but these days we handle all kinds of electronic components and small gadgets. The shop is quite narrow and is filled from the floor to the ceiling with boxes and parts. You have to be careful where you step because there is almost always a repair project spread out on the main counter. We get all sorts of customers, from hobbyists looking for a specific tiny part to older folks wanting us to fix a stereo they’ve had for thirty years. We do our best to find whatever is needed, though sometimes it feels like a bit of a treasure hunt in all these drawers. The street noise outside is loud and constant, but we have grown used to it over the years. We don't have a website or any modern marketing; we just open the doors every morning and see who walks in. My father was the one who started this place, and I haven't changed much about how we operate. We still use a simple calculator and keep our notes by hand. It is just a plain, honest repair shop for the local community.
