Chaarumathi Prakashana

Chaarumathi Prakashana is located over in J P Nagar, IX Phase, specifically at 224, 4th Main, near Raja Farm. We are into publishing, which means our office is usually full of stacks of paper, proofs, and boxes of finished books. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, especially when a new print run arrives. Being in the 7th km area of Basavanagar, it’s a bit quieter than the main city, which is nice for reading through manuscripts. We don't put out hundreds of books a month like the big guys. We focus on smaller projects, maybe things that other people might overlook. My desk is always covered in red ink and tea mugs. Publishing is a slow process; you have to check everything ten times and even then, a typo might sneak in. We work with local writers and try to get their words into a format people can actually hold in their hands. It’s not a high-profit business, but we like books and the smell of ink. We’ve been in this J P Nagar spot for a while, and the neighbors know us as the people always carrying heavy boxes to the post office. We don't do big launch parties or have a PR team. It’s just us, some computers, and a lot of patience. If you’re looking for a specific title we’ve done, we’re usually around to help you find it.
