Canvas Interiors

We set up Canvas Interiors inside Royal Shelters over at Devarachikkanahalli. It’s a bit of a way down Bannerghatta Road, but it's where we work from every day. The office at No.269 is usually filled with fabric samples and bits of wood. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who live nearby about their houses. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s mostly just us sitting around a table trying to make sense of what someone wants for their home. Sometimes the traffic on Bannerghatta Road makes it hard for people to get here, but once they do, it’s pretty quiet inside. We deal with all sorts of interior stuff. Some days it’s just sorting out cupboards, and other days we’re looking at whole house renovations. We don’t use any of those big fancy words for what we do. It’s just work. We pick out materials that won’t fall apart in a year. We’ve had some long days here, especially when a project deadline is coming up. My desk is always a mess of sketches and notes. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, one of us will just look up from our drawing and say hello. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like being in this part of town. It feels like a real neighborhood where people actually live and work. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just helping people out.
