Camera Service Center

Our Camera Service Center is up on the first floor of the Gujarati School Building. We are directly across from the Majestic Theater in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a pretty well-known spot because of the theater, so people don’t usually have a hard time finding us once they get to this part of town. The building itself is older, and you have to walk up the stairs to get to us. We have a few big tables where we do all the delicate work on the cameras. It takes a lot of patience to fix these things because the screws are so tiny and everything has to be just right. We get all kinds of cameras coming in, from the old film ones to the new digital ones that have too many buttons. Gandhi Nagar is always humming with noise from the street, but we keep the windows shut most of the time to keep the dust away from the lens glass. It’s mostly just a couple of us working here. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that, just some chairs and the counter. Sometimes we have to wait weeks for a specific part to arrive from somewhere else, so we have a lot of cameras just sitting on the shelves waiting for their turn. It is steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up the shutters at night. We just focus on the cameras and leave the rest alone.
