Riddhi Siddhi Electricals

We’re located on B.V.K. Iyengar Road, right near Chickpet. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s packed with people and shops. We’ve been squeezed into this space for a long time. We sell all kinds of electrical bits and pieces—wires, switches, lights, you name it. The shop is small and the shelves are filled right up to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use a tall ladder to find what a customer wants. It’s a lot of noise outside with the bells of the cycles and people calling out. We don’t have a lot of room to move around, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent helping people who are doing up their homes or fixing some wiring. We know where every single fuse and bulb is hidden. The floor is old tile and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic. We aren't corporate at all. We just know our stock and try to help the folks who come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to find things. It’s just how it is in Chickpet. We take our tea in small glasses and talk to the other shopkeepers when things quiet down for a minute. It’s a busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. It’s a plain shop.
