Build India Consultants is located in RMV Extension 2nd Stage, right off New BEL Road. This is a nice part of Bangalore, though it’s gotten a lot more crowded lately. We work out of a modest space where we handle various construction consulting tasks. It’s mostly about giving advice on how to get buildings up and running. We look at a lot of technical drawings and cost estimates. The team here is pretty small, and we’ve been around this neighborhood for a good while. You won’t find any glossy brochures here; we just talk to people and show them what we’ve done on our laptops or on paper. New BEL Road has everything we need, so we often meet clients at the local cafes if the office is too full of site maps. We deal with the practical side of building—what materials to use, how to manage the budget, and who to hire for the specialized jobs. It’s not always easy, especially when prices for steel or cement go up unexpectedly. We just try to give it to people straight. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city. We just want to do a decent job for the folks who come to us. Our office is a bit lived-in, with coffee mugs and old files everywhere, but we know where everything is. We’ve seen the trees grow tall along the road over the years. We spend mornings going through the latest government notifications. It's a quiet way to earn a living in a loud city.
