Bommasandra Industrial Area is where we spend most of our lives. Essae Digitronics is located at No. 34 and 35, and it’s a busy place. If you’ve ever been to Anekal Taluk, you know it’s all about trucks and warehouses. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we put things together. Inside, it’s a mix of sensitive electronic parts and heavy tools. We try to keep it clean, but in an industrial zone, dust always finds a way in. We’ve got benches set up for assembly and a small corner for the paperwork that never seems to end. The guys on the floor know their way around a circuit board better than they know their own kitchens. It’s loud during the day because of the neighbors and our own machinery. We eat lunch together when we can, usually talking about how to fix a calibration issue or complaining about the commute. The traffic on the way to Bommasandra can be a nightmare, so we’ve all become very patient people. We don't have a fancy lobby with a fountain. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone in work clothes with a screwdriver in their pocket. We just focus on making sure the scales and sensors we build actually work. It’s practical work. We do it every day, year after year, and we’ve gotten pretty good at the routine.
