Bmc Alumni

We are based in the Bmc Alumni Building, which sits right on the Bangalore Medical College campus near the Fort area. This part of the city is full of history. You can feel it when you walk around the campus. The building itself has been home to many doctors and students over the decades. As the alumni group, we spend our time organizing things for the former students and keeping the records updated. It’s a very grounded place. We have a few rooms where we keep the archives and some old photos. It’s not a high-tech office by any means. We have old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. Being in the Fort area means it’s always busy outside the gates with the market and the hospital traffic. Inside the campus, it’s a bit more peaceful. We often see current students rushing to class while we are heading into our office. We handle memberships, plan small gatherings, and just try to keep everyone in touch. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of respect for the college and the people who studied here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how the campus used to look twenty years ago. It’s a simple, meaningful way to stay connected to the medical community. Sometimes we have old graduates stop by just to see the place again and share a few stories.
