Bhel Electronics Division

Our place is right on Mysore Road. It’s a big site, so you can’t really miss it if you are driving by. Bhel Electronics Division has been here for ages. I’ve worked here a long time, and the building has seen a lot of changes. We work on all sorts of electronic components and systems. It’s a lot of specialized work. Some days it is quiet in the labs, other days it’s hectic when a big project is moving out. The commute on Mysore Road can be a bit of a nightmare during peak hours, but once you get inside the gates, it is a different world. We have different sections for different tasks. Some people are soldering, others are testing boards, and some are just handling the paperwork. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing inside. It’s more about the technical stuff. The canteen is where most of us catch up during lunch. It’s a practical environment. We don't have fancy words for what we do. We just build electronics that are needed for various projects. It is a solid place to work. You see the same faces every day. We’ve become a bit of a fixture here on this stretch of road. Everyone knows where the Bhel gate is. We just keep doing our bit, day after day. It's home.
