Bhardwaj And Archarya Architects is based over at Basavanagudi Subbaramaiah Chetty Road 13. It is a bit of a busy area but we like being here because everything is close by. We have been working together for some time now, just handling whatever projects come our way. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and a lot of files piled up in the corners. We do a lot of residential work and some small shops too. Usually, one of us is out at a site while the other stays back to handle the phone calls and the drafting work. Basavanagudi has a specific feel to it and we try to make sure our work fits in with the surroundings. It takes a lot of patience to get the details right. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing over where a wall should go or how to get more light into a room. It’s just how the job goes. We use simple tools and basic software mostly. People find us by word of mouth usually. They walk in from the street and ask if we can look at their plot of land. We try to be helpful and give them a realistic idea of what can be built. It’s a lot of back and forth with the authorities and the contractors but we manage to get things done eventually.
