Bharat Ribbon Industries

If you are looking for us, we are tucked away at 29, 2nd Main in the C.K.C. Garden area, right off Mission Road. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main road, but we still get plenty of noise from the nearby shops. Bharat Ribbon Industries has been our second home for a long time. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the machines to worry about that. We have rolls of ribbon in every color you can think of stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the fabric is taking over the whole room. We don't have a professional cleaning crew or anything. We just sweep up the lint and thread at the end of the day ourselves. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling all the material, but that is just part of the trade. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they know someone who has been coming here for twenty years. It is a simple life, really. We open the shutters in the morning, turn on the fans, and get to work. When the power goes out, we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the ribbons are cut straight and the orders are ready when people come to pick them up.
