Berry Fabrics

If you head down Mission Road and find the Shamrao Compound at 27-1, you will find us. We have been surrounded by rolls of cloth for as long as I can remember. Berry Fabrics isn't one of those high-end boutiques where everything is behind glass. We have stacks of material everywhere. You can touch the fabrics and see the colors in the natural light that comes through the door. We get all sorts of people coming in. Some want enough for a single shirt, while others are looking for bulk orders for their own small businesses. The compound has its own history, and we have been a fixture here for quite some time. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives, and we are all hands on deck moving heavy bolts of cotton or silk. We do not have a big marketing team; we just know our textiles. My desk is usually covered in swatches and order slips. We know which fabrics bleed color and which ones stay crisp after a wash. It is a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. Mission Road is busy, and we are right in the middle of it, just keeping the shelves stocked. People appreciate that we do not push them to buy the most expensive thing. We just show them what we have available on the racks today. It is simple work, really.
