We do engineering work, which means our space is filled with tools, workbenches, and various metal parts. It’s not a clean, white-glove kind of place. There’s grease on the door handles and the floor has its fair share of scuffs and stains. We like it that way because it shows we actually do work. Most of our day is spent at the bench or operating the lathes. It’s noisy, and you have to raise your voice to be heard sometimes. We’ve been at this address for quite a while, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but we’ve mostly stayed the same. We don’t have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. We just do the engineering jobs that come our way. Sometimes a neighbor will pop in to ask for a quick fix on something, and we try to help out. It’s a steady rhythm of work. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to what we were doing. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the work we do from 482 is solid and reliable. That’s been our approach since the beginning.
