BEL Gates India is located right in Kalyan Nagar. It’s a decent area and we’ve found a good spot to set up our operations. We spend most of our time working on gate systems and related hardware. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of measuring and double-checking, so the workshop floor is usually a bit messy with scraps and tools. We don't mind it much because it shows things are moving. Most of us here have been doing this for a long time, so we have a routine that works. Sometimes we get caught up in a complicated design, and the day just flies by. Kalyan Nagar has changed a lot since we first started, with more shops and traffic now, but we've stayed put. It’s easy for people to find us once they’re in the neighborhood. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or anything; we just rely on the work we do to keep things going. There is usually someone around to answer the phone, though we might be away from the desk if something needs fixing in the back. It’s a small team, and we all pitch in where it’s needed. Nothing too fancy, just a regular gate business trying to keep up with the daily orders. We like the fact that we can just get on with it without too many meetings or corporate talk getting in the way of the physical work we do.
