Malleshwar Specialities

Malleshwar Specialities is located at No. 89/2 on Model House Street. We are right on the South Cross Road in Basavanagudi. This is a really old part of the city, and we like it that way. The building has some character to it, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. We have been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. We handle various food items and local goods that people in the neighborhood look for. It is not a supermarket. It is more of a specialized corner where you find things that are not in the big stores. The smell inside is usually a mix of spices and grains. We spend a lot of time weighing things out and bagging them up for regular customers. Basavanagudi has a specific feel to it, and we try to fit in with that. We do not do much in terms of fancy packaging. We just use what works. Most of our customers are people who live on the nearby streets and have been coming to us for years. We know their names and what they usually need. It is a quiet life, mostly. We open early and close when it gets dark. Sometimes the rain makes it hard for people to come by, so we just tidy up the shelves. It is a simple way to run a business, but it works for us at No. 89/2. We like being part of the street.
