You can find us over at No. 16, Bajaj Bhavan on Residency Road. It’s a well-known building in this area, and we’ve been operating out of here for a good while. The space is filled with all sorts of electrical stuff and boxes. We deal with various electrical parts and equipment throughout the day. Residency Road is always moving, so there’s plenty of activity outside our doors. Inside, it’s mostly about managing the inventory and making sure things are where they should be. We have a lot of shelves and they’re usually packed. It’s not a quiet place, especially when we’re moving stock around. The staff here knows the inventory pretty well. We spend a lot of time on our feet or at the counter. It gets a bit dusty with all the cardboard, but we try to keep it tidy. There’s always a list of things to do or parts to find for someone. We don’t go in for anything fancy; it’s just a workspace meant for getting the electrical goods handled. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's just the sound of the fans. It’s a standard routine for us at Smitha Electric Company. We’ve been at this Residency Road location long enough that the regulars know exactly where to find the entrance. It's a solid place for what we do, and we just keep at it every day.
