Our office is way up on the 9th floor of Poddar Court. We are right by Gate Number 1 on Rabindra Sarani in Kolkata. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it is absolute chaos downstairs. There are vendors, taxis, and people everywhere you look. Getting into the building can be a bit of a squeeze during peak hours. Once you get up to our floor, it is a lot quieter, thank goodness. We deal with a lot of technical stuff and biological supplies, so there is always a lot of checking and double-checking of boxes and lists. The heat in Kolkata can be pretty brutal, so we are glad for the shade of the building and the fans. We are not some big fancy conglomerate with a slick image. We are just folks who know our products and work out of this busy hub. Sometimes the elevators take forever, and we end up chatting with the other people in the building. It is a very old-school Kolkata vibe here. We have our tea brought in, we handle our orders, and we make sure the paperwork is sorted. It is a lot of routine, but it keeps the business running. We do not have a big marketing department writing things for us. This is just where we spend our days, looking out over the city rooftops from the ninth floor.
