About Asian Institute Of Design – Education in Bengaluru
Our campus is over on HAL Airport Road, right across from what everyone used to call Total Mall, though some call it Kempfort Mall now. It’s located in Murugeshpalya, specifically in Nanja Reddy Colony. The area is always busy with traffic moving toward the airport or back into the city. We have a lot of students coming in and out at different hours. The building at 41/1 is where we do all our design work and classes. Inside, you’ll find students working on computers or drawing. It’s a creative space, so it often looks a bit messy with sketches and prototypes lying around. We don’t try to keep it looking like a corporate office because that’s not how design happens. There’s a lot of coffee being drank and plenty of late-night sessions when projects are due. The staff here are designers themselves, so they talk more about colors and pixels than business metrics. We’ve been in Jeevanbheemanagar for a while, and it feels like home. It’s a bit of a trek for some to get here because of the Bangalore traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s a different world. We don’t do much fancy advertising; the work the students do usually speaks for itself. It’s just a place for people who want to learn how to make things look good and work well. We’re glad to be a part of this neighborhood and its energy.
