You can find our shop at No. 402 on Sri Ramanjaneya Road in Srinagar. It’s a familiar spot for people living around here. We’ve been fixing electronics for a long time now. The shelves are packed with old television sets, radios, and some newer gadgets that people have brought in. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so many parts stored in every available corner. My workbench is right near the front so I can see who is coming in. I usually have a soldering iron in my hand and some wires spread out in front of me. It’s not a polished store by any means. There are bits of plastic and metal shavings on the floor by the end of the day. People in Srinagar often stop by just to ask a quick question about their home appliances. We don’t have any fancy computer systems for our records. I just use a big ledger and a blue pen to keep track of everything. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to find a specific part because things get moved around. But we eventually get the job done. The street outside can get quite narrow, especially during the evening rush. We keep the doors open to let some fresh air in. It is a simple, honest way to make a living. We don't have any big goals other than fixing what is broken.
