Our office is at No. 23 on Ratna Vilas Road in Basavanagudi. It’s an old part of town and we’ve been here for a while now. The building is easy to find if you know the area. We spend most of our mornings drinking coffee and looking over drawings that have been sitting on the desks since yesterday. There are usually about four or five of us here at any given time. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of site visits to coordinate, but we make it work. The street outside is always busy with traffic and people walking to the local shops. Sometimes the noise comes right through the windows, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. People just walk in and we talk at the main table. Most of what we do involves sitting in front of screens or sketching out ideas on yellow trace paper. We handle a lot of local residential work because that's what the neighborhood is mostly made of. It is practical work and we try to keep things simple for the folks who come to see us. We don’t go for anything too flashy. The walls are covered in old project photos and some calendars. It feels like a real workplace because it is one. We just try to get the jobs done and go home to our families.
