Arun Marbles

If you know Magadi Road, you know it can get pretty crowded. We are located at 6th Cross, right there at number 15 3. It’s a small space, and we have to be careful how we stack the marbles so everything fits. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, watching the shops around us change while we stay the same. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and checking what needs to go out on the delivery truck. Most of our customers are locals who are fixing up their houses. They come in with measurements written on scraps of paper, and we help them find something that works. We don't have a glossy catalog or a website with pretty pictures. What you see in the stacks is what we have. Sometimes the marble has a bit of dust on it, but we give it a wipe so you can see the color properly. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and carrying, but it keeps us busy. The 6th cross is a bit narrower than the main road, so it’s a bit of a squeeze for the bigger vehicles, but we manage somehow. We just focus on getting the slabs out the door. It’s not a complicated business. We just show up, talk to the people who walk in, and try to make sure they get what they need for their floors. We also keep a few smaller offcuts for people who just need a tiny piece for a repair.
