Arch Well

Arch Well is situated on New Bel Road at G-5. It is a busy stretch of road, and there is always something happening outside our windows. We’ve got a modest space here that serves as our home base for all the building and design work we do. It’s usually cluttered with rolls of paper, pens that may or may not work, and half-empty cups of tea. We don't put on an act for anyone who walks in. The truth is, most of our work happens in the messy middle part where we are trying to figure out if a design is actually practical to build. We spend a lot of time on New Bel Road, so we know the area and the people around here pretty well. It is a good place to be. When we aren't at our desks, we are likely out at a site somewhere, probably getting some mud on our shoes and checking if the columns are straight or the bricks are being laid right. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress people with fancy talk. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything is built well. It is a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything. One day you’re drawing, the next you’re hauling samples around or arguing with a vendor about a delivery. It’s not perfect, but it’s our way of working and it seems to get the job done.
