Apurva Mother And Child Care Hospital

This hospital is tucked away at No 1002/D in Yelahanka Old Town. If you know Bangalore, you know how the Bellery Road area gets, especially near the Kogilu Cross. It is always a bit of a scramble with the traffic out there. We see a lot of mothers coming in with their little ones throughout the day. The building is close to the cross, so it is easy for people to find us even if they are not from this exact part of Yelahanka. We have kids crying sometimes and others playing in the corner while they wait their turn. It is a noisy, lively kind of place most of the time. The old town has a different feel than the newer parts of Bangalore, much more crowded and familiar. We have got the rooms set up for families to stay. It is not like those giant corporate hospitals where you feel like you are lost in a maze. Here, you walk in and it is just a regular building doing its job. We spend our days checking heights and weights and making sure the babies are doing okay. The staff knows most of the regular families by name because they come back as the kids grow up. It is a lot of paperwork and a lot of washing hands. We keep the windows open when the weather is nice, though the road noise comes right in. It is just a part of being near Kogilu Cross. We stay busy and keep going.
