Apparel Export Promotion Council

Our office is out in the Industrial Suburb at 17-G on the 40th Main Road in Yeshwantpur. It’s the 2nd Stage area, which is pretty much all warehouses and small factories. Apparel Export Promotion Council is a bit of a long name, so we just focus on the daily grind of what needs to happen. It's a lot of sitting at desks and looking at files related to clothes being sent out. The building isn't anything to look at twice, just a standard block in a busy industrial zone. Most hours are spent making sure everything is lined up right. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the fans never seem to move quite enough air. But we stick to it. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or expensive furniture. We just have what we need to get through the paperwork. Being in Yeshwantpur means there's always trucks moving around and a lot of dust in the air. We’ve got a routine that works, and we don’t deviate from it much. People come by to drop off documents or ask about rules for shipping. We just give them the straight answers without any extra talk. It’s just how we operate at 17-G. Not much more to it than that, really. It’s not for everyone, but we like it. The work keeps us busy and that is fine by us.
