Amardeep Matching Center

Amardeep Matching Center is located in the Susheelamma Building on VP Main Road in Old Madiwala. If you’ve ever walked through the narrow streets of Madiwala, you know how busy it gets with all the shoppers and street food. Our shop is a bit of a local staple. We deal with fabrics and threads, and the walls are covered in every color of the rainbow you can imagine. It’s a small space, and sometimes the rolls of cloth almost reach the ceiling. Women from all over the neighborhood come in with a piece of a saree or a dress, trying to find the exact right shade of lining or a matching blouse piece. It takes a bit of patience to find the right one, but we don’t mind. We’ve been sitting behind this counter for years, watching the traffic go by outside. It’s not a fancy boutique with mannequins in the window. It’s more of a practical place where you come to get what you need for your tailoring. We know the regulars by name and we know what they usually look for. The building itself is old, but it has a lot of heart. We don't use any fancy systems, just our eyes and a good sense of color. It’s a simple life, keeping the shop open and helping people get their outfits ready for whatever event they have.
