We are situated at B64/1B in the Peenya Industrial Area, Phase 3. If you’ve ever been to Peenya, you know it’s a massive place with thousands of factories. Our unit is just one of many, but we’ve been here a long time. It’s a lab setting, so it’s very structured. We have strict rules about what to wear and how to handle the equipment. It’s mostly about testing and making sure the pharma products are right. The air in Peenya is always filled with the sound of trucks and heavy machinery. Inside our walls, it’s much more controlled. We have a lot of different shifts, so the place is almost never empty. The staff is quite large compared to some of the smaller shops around here. We have a canteen where most of us get our lunch. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the schedules. We don't do much in the way of flashy marketing from this office; we’re the ones on the ground doing the actual lab work. It gets dusty outside because of all the construction and traffic, but we keep the lab spotless. Alkem has a big name, but here at this specific branch, we’re just workers trying to do our jobs accurately. We value the routine and the steady pace of the industrial area. It’s not a quiet life, but it’s a productive one. We just keep the gears turning.
