Lakshmi Poultry Farm

Ali Bumba is where you’ll find Lakshmi Poultry Farm. It’s a place where the air is a bit fresher, though of course, you have the smell of the farm which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office building or a suite of rooms. Most of our day is spent outdoors or in the sheds with the birds. It’s a lot of manual labor, from feeding to cleaning and checking on the health of the flock. There’s always noise here, with the chickens clucking and the trucks coming in to pick up eggs or birds. We don’t use any corporate talk because there’s no point when you’re covered in feathers and dust by noon. Our team is just a few local folks who understand how to handle poultry without making a fuss. We keep our records in a simple ledger in a small shack near the gate. If someone wants to buy from us, they usually just show up or send a message. We don't do advertising or have a sales team. The birds are the main priority, and that takes up almost all our time from sunrise to sunset. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to get the generators going, but that’s just how it is. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know. We’ve been at Ali Bumba for a while and the locals know us as the place to get what they need.
