Akzo Nobel India Ltd.

Out here at Akzo Nobel India Ltd., we are based in the Hoskote Industrial Area, specifically at Plot No. 62P, 62A, 62B, and 43E. It is a massive area and it takes a while to walk from one end of our plots to the other. The wind blows a lot of red dust around this part of Hoskote, so everything outside always has a thin layer of grit on it. Inside, it is all about the scale of the operation. We have large open spaces and heavy doors that stay shut to keep the temperature steady. It is a long commute for most of us, so the morning starts with everyone arriving at the gates and grabbing a quick drink before heading to their stations. We don't spend much time in fancy boardrooms. Most of the day is spent out on the floor or in the loading bays checking on the drums and containers. The sound of forklifts is basically the background music of our lives here. It is an industrial life, focused on the logistics of moving large quantities of product. We have a small canteen where we all sit together at lunch, talking about the traffic or the weather. It is a very practical, hardworking atmosphere where the main goal is just keeping the lines moving and making sure the trucks get out of the gate on schedule.
