Aditya Academy Of Architecture & Design

We are situated at No. 12 on Kogilu Main Road, right in Yelahanka. If you know where the Shri Annapurneshwari Temple is, we are just right beside it. Aditya Academy Of Architecture & Design is where we spend our days teaching and drawing. It’s not like a big corporate school; it feels more like a workshop most of the time. There are always models being built out of cardboard and students arguing about where a window should go. Architecture is a lot harder than it looks, and we try to show that to the folks who come here. The bells from the temple next door are a nice background sound while we work. Yelahanka is a bit far out for some, but it’s quiet enough to actually think. Our rooms are filled with drafting tables and heaps of scrap paper. We don't really go for the polished, high-end look. It’s more about the actual work and learning how to design stuff that won't fall down. We’ve been at this for a while now. The staff here are just regular people who happen to love buildings. Sometimes we stay late to help a student finish a project. It’s a busy life, but it’s interesting. We keep it simple and focus on the skills. That’s pretty much the story of our place on Kogilu Main Road. There’s always pencil shavings on the floor and a lot of creative mess going on here.
