Our place is at 20 Basavanagudi on the Hennur Main Road. We operate out of Rajalakshmi Plaza, which is near the St Thomas Town Post. It’s a busy intersection, and we see a lot of traffic coming off the main road every single day. The plaza has several other businesses, so there is always a lot of coming and going in the shared parking area. I spend most of my time in the back where the stock is kept, checking the invoices and making sure the boxes are stacked correctly on the pallets. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to manage the flow of goods coming in and out. The office part is just a couple of desks and an old filing cabinet that has seen better days. We moved here because the location is convenient for the delivery trucks to pull in, though it can get very tight during the peak hours of the afternoon. Some mornings I’m here before the sun is even fully up to meet a shipment from the warehouse. The stairs in the plaza can be a bit of a workout if the lift is acting up again, which happens more often than I’d like. It’s a practical space for a distribution business like ours. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and some old maps of the city districts. It’s just where we come to do the day's work and keep things moving through the city streets.
