Active Facility Resource Services Pvt. Ltd. is located on the first floor of building number 44 in MS Ramiah Layout. You have to climb a narrow set of stairs to get to our door. The Hesaragatta Main Road is right outside, so there is a constant hum of traffic and people shouting all day long. We deal with a lot of people coming in and out because of the nature of managing facilities. There’s always someone looking for a job as a guard or a client checking in on a maintenance contract. The office isn't very big, and the desks are pushed close together to make room for everyone. We have a small corner for the physical files that seem to grow every single week. Sometimes the printer jams and someone has to spend twenty minutes getting the paper out. That’s usually the big event of the afternoon. We drink a lot of coffee from the small shop just down the street. The staff here is mostly local folks, so we speak a mix of languages depending on who is in the room. It’s not a quiet place at all, but it’s where we get things organized. We handle the schedules for cleaning crews and security staff from this little room. It gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front windows, but we have some old blinds that help a bit. Most of the work happens on phones and tablets, coordinating people across the city. It’s just work.
