Being in the logistics business means we spend most of our time staring at screens or hanging up one phone to pick up another. Ace Logistics is based at 803 in the President House, right across from C.N. Vidyalaya in Ambawadi. It’s a busy part of town, and the traffic outside is pretty much constant. Our office is up on the eighth floor, so we get a decent view of the trees over at the school, which is nice when things get stressful. We move stuff from point A to point B, but it’s never as simple as it sounds. There are always delays, or a driver gets lost, or the paperwork isn't right. We have a lot of maps and whiteboards with lists that get erased and rewritten every few hours. It’s a bit of a frantic environment sometimes, especially in the late afternoon when everyone is trying to get their shipments out. The carpet in the office is a bit worn out from people pacing while they talk on their mobiles. We don't have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and someone will look up from their computer eventually. We just focus on the movement of goods. It’s practical work. We drink too much tea and stay late more often than we’d like, but the job gets done. That’s just the way it goes at Ace Logistics day in and day out.
