We’re based over at 300 Sankaran Complex on Langford Road. Most days here start with someone trying to fix the printer or clearing off a desk that got buried under blueprints overnight. It’s a busy spot and we’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us by name. People usually find us easily because of the location. Inside, it’s mostly just us looking at drawings and talking through how to get things built without too much trouble. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors or driving out to sites when things don't go exactly right. There’s always a bit of dust on the shoes from those visits. Sometimes the office gets pretty loud when we’re all trying to figure out a tricky corner of a floor plan. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything, just some chairs and a lot of samples lying around. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone measuring something or arguing about a window height. It’s just how we work. Langford Road can get packed in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap up before the worst of the traffic hits. It’s a decent place to work from and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street. We keep the kettle going pretty much all day for whoever needs a cup of tea while they finish up a drawing.
